Mt Rainier from the lower Adams Glacier, approaching the route
The entry slope to the route, a short but steep affair we tackled without crampons
The beginning of the route proper was a jumble of seracs and avalanche debris
The steepest section of the route climbed at 45 degrees through a narrow hourglass on hard glacial ice
The central part of the route was 35-40 degree hard ice, but relatively crevasse free
Bergschrund at the top of Adams Glacier, with the flat summit plateu visible beyond
The upper part of the route kicks back to a comfortable angle
Monkeeeeeeey!
