A classic moderate alpine route in the heart of the Canadian Rockies!

• Looking North to the Jasper townsite as the morning clouds consolidate.
• At 8:30 am, the start of the route is still completely obscured. We start up, uncertain of the weather.
• After hours of 3rd and 4th class soloing, and with more than half the route below us, the sun comes out to illuminate the mid-route bench.
• Gene approaching the upper ridge across the huge mid-route bench. The blue skies would soon disappear.
