Sunset on Mt. Stuart

The Central Cascades seems to contain the most variety. There are so many easily accessible hikes along the I-90 corridor to Snoqualmie Pass and beyond. There are low but fiercesome mountains like the Index Peaks with chains of alpine lakes nearby. High granite mountains of the Stuart Range and Enchantments offer excellent rock climbing and delightful cross-country travel. The excellent crag climbs near Leavenworth round out this amazing landscape.

I define this region to include Cascade peaks south of Highway 2 to I-90, including Leavenworth crags. Trips are arranged in alphabetical order by mountain and route.
