Yikes! 1990

Playing the guitar is one of my favorite things to do. I used to be really into it, practicing many hours a day in high school. I like all kinds of music, but on the guitar I always liked rock and (to use an outdated term) “Metal.” Truthfully, I've been having too much fun climbing to be an active musician, but I expect to play again at some future date.

Smithy(11 MB) - I made this over Christmas break 2001, and finished it in January. It's my current favorite. New! (2002)

New Stabba (4.1 MB)
Michael and Daniel recorded this in 1998 in Oregon. Kris thinks it has one of my best guitar solos.

The Samwise Song(7.5 MB)
This is for our cat, Samwise. I was at home sick one day and put down the basic parts. A year later (in 2001), I finally finished it up (but Kris thinks I messed it up).

Saucy!(2 MB)
A flashy little guitar piece. You might like it. Or hate it.

Line 6 Lullaby(6 MB)
Kind of a U2-like short tune.

Bring The Wagon Home, John (1.5 MB)
Kris and I made our very first barber shop song recording. Note: we can't sing worth a damn. But we had fun!
